Laboratories in Department of Electrical Engineering at CET

The discipline Mechanical Engineering work as per the principles of Physics, Chemistry, and Material Science for analysis, design, manufacturing, and maintenance of mechanical system. The laboratories that have been set up at this department offer futuristic equipment imported from Tecquipment Ltd., U.K, which is why CET is counted among the Top Private Engineering Colleges in India.

Features of Material Laboratory
The motive of this lab is to acquaint the students with the factors that must be considered while determining various mechanical properties of materials. The lab boasts of the equipment's like UTM, Hardware Testing Machines, and Impact Testing Machines.

Fluid Mechanics and Fluid Machineries Laboratory
The laboratory is mainly used for the study of diverse parameters in fluid flow and the working of different hydraulic machines, along with the generation of mechanical power. The lab offers equipments like orifice meter, venturimeter, manometer connections with computer interface for data acquisition processing of data.

Thermodynamics Laboratory
The chief purpose of this laboratory is to measure various thermodynamics properties of thermal fluid. It has a boiler to run steam motor as well as to conduct experiments so as to study the principles of thermodynamics.

I.C. Engines and Refrigeration, and Air-conditioning Laboratory
This laboratory fosters the study of performance of petrol and diesel engines under various parametric conditions. The students get a chance to study the performance of components of various cooling equipment.

Manufacturing Technology/CAM Laboratory
This laboratory enables the students to study conventional and non-conventional manufacturing processes. The faculty uses the lab to teach experimental techniques so as to show the effects of various parameters on the final product.

Measurement and Control Laboratory
This lab is used to learn the measurements of various parameters which ensure that the final product is in confirmation to the specifications of the design and the chances of rejection reduce. It can also be used to control several process-parameters so that the final product or the functional requirements could be attained as per the plan.
