Scope of B. Arch.

Attaining a degree in the Bachelor of Architecture enables the students to become the architects of tomorrow, since it is considered to be a professional degree. Aspirants get an opportunity to practice architecture and improve their drawing and designs. This B.Arch. program also includes the theory and history of architecture. The practice sessions come into picture in the third year wherein students get hands on experience and demonstrate their skills in the field. In these five years, students gear up to qualify for licensure.

Students at CAD (Mody University) mull over the designs that surround them all the time. They get to learn the concepts of structures and elements; designs and theories; building materials and construction; and visual communications. Even after getting licensure and degree, the former students of Mody can attend conferences, seminars and workshops held at CAD.

The Government of India formed The Council of Architecture according to the provisions of the Architects Act of 1972. In India, the Council of Architecture maintains the registrations of professional architecture. This Council also ensures the parameters of professional education and practice of architecture in India. After passing B.Arch. from any of the Architecture Colleges in India, one has to register with the Council of Architecture in order to practice. The IITs and NITs also offer Architecture Courses in India apart from autonomous or deemed universities with a variety of specializations.
