The Role of a Mechanical Engineer

Mechanical engineers have always been stereotyped as nerdy, bespectacled, insanely studious and unconnected with the rest of the world. However, what is not focused on by these people is the creative and productive side of mechanical engineering. People do not realize how important this leg of engineering is for the kind of lifestyle we all live in today.  Professors from the top 10 women's engineering colleges and top B Tech Colleges in India claim that mechanical engineers, aspirants as well as others must go through some of the inventions (many of which are used routinely by the public) these engineers are responsible for to understand their value. Some of these inventions include:-
  • Mobile phones, telephones
  • Television
  • Light bulbs, tube lights
  • Video games interface device – There needs to be no introduction to video games. Almost every other child has played with one at least once in their lifetime.
  • Snowboards – A widely used item, they are utilized by millions of people around the world to enjoy in the snow.
  • Solar car - This car is highly energy efficient, prevents pollution, eco-friendly and hugely money saving for its users.
  • Engineers are also responsible for the creation of prosthetic limbs that move via brain waves
Furthermore, mechanical engineers are responsible to make machines that not only produce but also consume energy competently.

Another interesting fact is that the demand for mechanical engineers is everlasting and very high. They are also paid handsomely and live a satisfactory to luxurious life.

Why select B.Sc courses?

If you are one of those students who have decided to pursue engineering because your friends are also doing the same then you need to reconsider about your decision. You need to think of B.Sc. specialization courses, its potential and its advantages. Does it seem hard to think of the advantages of B.Sc. courses? If yes, well here are some of the benefits which you surely aren’t aware of.

1. Scholarships from state government
The bright students who opt for B.Sc. courses, they can easily get scholarships. The state government has introduces multiple scholarships for B.Sc. students, as it not so popular among the youth nowadays and the course is on the verge of losing its recognition. These attractive scholarships will become a reason to promote the professional specialized B.Sc. degree courses.

Sometime the complete expenditure related to studies is covered by the scholarships while some schemes cover the expenses of Post Graduation i.e. M.Sc. Those who have maintained brilliant academic record can avail these scholarship programs.

Look up the Engineering Colleges in India which offers these scholarship programs.

2. Careers in Research and Development
State government has been offering these enticing scholarships to promote B Sc course, in order to boost the Research and Development sector in India. The qualified professionals are scarce and not many people wish to be scientists. Most of the youngsters aspire to be engineers or doctors.

Hence, the field of B.Sc. and M.Sc. requires earnest students who could join Research and Development sector. Career prospects with R&D is rewarding and satisfying; especially with the assistance and intervention of government it is going to be even better in future.

Check out if the Private Engineering Colleges in India are also offering such scholarship programs in liaison with government ventures.

Labs to learn at Department of ECE

The Department of ECE at CET College offers a multitude of labs to the students. With the updated styles of pedagogy it has become the Top Engineering Colleges in Rajasthan.

Communication Laboratory
The laboratory is equipped with all sorts of urbane test setups, ranging from basic communication system to advanced communication system. The test setups support high-frequency oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzer, and the function generators. The advanced setups involve optical fiber system, mobile communication system, and digital network.

Analog Electronics Laboratory
The laboratory is equipped with latest test and measuring instruments such as Oscilloscopes, Logic Analyzer, Pulse Generators, Function Generators, Analog and Digital IC Tester, and Digital Multi-meters. It also has a good range of active and passive components to carry out experiments in analog electronics.

Microprocessor and Microcontroller Laboratory
This lab facilitates learning about hardware and programming of processors. The Universal programmer allows hands-on programming of PROMs to the students, especially for project work. The students get to work with advanced microcontroller. Assembly language programming, using MASM and to interface with the external devices is possible for students.

Microwave and Antenna Laboratory
This lab offers theoretical and meaningful experience in microwave techniques. IT comprises seven microwave benches: Frequency Meter, Attenuator, Tunable Probe, Detector Mount, Cathode Ray Oscilloscopes, and VSWR Meters. Of which four benches use Klystron power supply and three are Gunn Oscillator test benches. Microwave components are also accessible to the students. Measurements of antenna parameters at frequencies ranging from 80 MHz to 1250 MHz can also be performed. It is equipped with antenna plot using relevant software along with an auditory chamber.

Digital Signal Processing Laboratory
The lab allows the students to work with MATLAB Simulink along with the concepts of real-time and other applications on the DSP kits and MATLAB. DSP kits are utilized in applications like Imaging, Multimedia, and Video Communication. They are also in the applications like Telephony, Modems, Digital Still Camera, and VoIP; and in control system applications like motor control, storage, and digital control systems. A Signal processing toolbox is also available for learning concepts of signal processing.

Apart from these, there are some more laboratories like VLSI Laboratory, Digital Electronics Laboratory, Circuit Simulation Laboratory, and Industrial Electronics Laboratory. To explore about them check out CET which is the Best Engineering College in India accredited by Mody University.

Five Year Integrated B. Tech and MBA

The whole idea of Post Graduate degree is that it opens up better career prospects for you. One gets to acquire additional skills and knowledge by pursuing a Post Graduate degree. An MBA confers better placement options especially in the areas like research, domain and consulting.

The agenda of these dual courses is to make the students ready for different kinds of jobs. These programs equip the students with a wide range of skill set. It is meant to decrease the pressure of becoming unemployable in the youth, since there is a constant rise in the number of unemployed youth.

These integrated programs enable the students to receive two degrees without halt and cuts down distractions. Rushing about for the admission procedure twice consumes a lot of energy and time. So, it is way to stay focused and set goals at once, which saves quite a lot of effort. These accelerated learning programs also save a year’s time along with the course fee.

Job Prospects
There are companies that prefer candidates who are engineers with managerial skills. This integrated program gear up the students to handle functional areas of IT companies. Even if a candidate works at supervisor level, the managerial skills come handy owing to the dual courses. This program is designed for the long term benefits like perks of promotions in comparison to others. It has been noticed that the attrition rate for B.Tech graduates has been higher. The job prospects for dual degree candidates are higher than B.Tech graduates.

Look up the Best Colleges for Engineering in India if you are willing to purse a dual degree course. There are multiple Engineering Colleges in India but every college does not facilitate placements. So, integrated programs with placement guarantee would make a great choice.
