Major Responsibilities of Interior Designers

An interior and spatial designer’s tasks include designing or renovating internal spaces, which includes lighting and color schemes, structural alterations, fixtures, fittings, and furnishings. They may work for commercial as well as domestic settings wherein they ensure functional utilization of the space while incorporating aesthetics.

Some designers focus only on the appearance and neglect the interior structure; which is not the right practice on their part. They must look into the complete project from the initial stage till the end. For domestic, commercial and leisure properties, they have designs and feasibility studies to assist them.

Not all the Architecture Colleges in India offer a full time degree course in Interior Design. So, it is better to be clear about what program you are looking for – a diploma or a Bachelor’s.
