Characteristics of a Competent Faculty Member in Architecture Domain

There are copious Top Architecture Colleges in India which have cropped up over the years as architecture became a viable and high-flying career option for youth. Because of this sudden spurt in number of Architecture Colleges in India, there is a need for competent faculty members who can inject dynamics and insights pertaining to architecture into the minds of students.

Following are some of the characteristics of a competent Architecture faculty member:

a) Education Qualification:
Education qualification is one of the most pivotal factors. A person who has studied in one of the Best Architecture Colleges in India and secured good grades is most likely to be a crackerjack faculty. When someone is vastly au courant with the contours and nitty-gritty of architecture courses, he/she should be able to pass on the knowledge to students.

b) Creative bent of Mind:
Architecture is a field that requires one to be exceedingly creative and innovative. A top architecture faculty must encourage students to whip up designs which are original, pragmatic as well as ingenious.

c) Knowledge about Geographical landscape:
The monuments of a particular region have a huge influence on students which are studying in nearby places. For example, the architectural style of Rajasthan has a distinct texture, so has the architectural of Madhya Pradesh. The monuments of Rajasthan have bearing of Rajputana culture, while architectural marvels of Delhi radiate Mughal culture. The faculty member must have adequate knowledge about architectural pattern of the region the college is located in.
